Designed for Surgeon Convenience and Accuracy

Bone fiducials serve an important role as rigid surface landmarks for stereotactic location with optimized navigation, but fiducial placement (as many neurosurgeons, residents, others placing these know) is not always easy. To aid with this, the Phasor EZ-Fiducial™ system comes standard with an electric screwdriver (EZ-Driver™, with optimized torque), a total of six (6) bone fiducials (for the extra fiducial which may aid navigation registration), a manual screwdriver as back-up, and titanium composition. By establishing fixed reference points on the skull, the Phasor EZ-Fiducial™ System optimizes registration between the patient’s anatomy and digital imaging platforms, towards improved navigation accuracy for biopsy, SEEG, LITT, and tumor resection procedures as utilized at the neurosurgeon’s discretion.

Engineered for Accuracy and Efficiency

Surface fiducial placement often introduces subtle alignment variations that can affect surgical navigation precision. EZ-Fiducial™ bone screws placed using the Phasor EZ-Driver™ (disposable electric screwdriver) minimize this variability through rigid fixation, placed using controlled torque to a specified depth. A manual screwdriver is provided also as a back-up for insertion of the included 6 bone fiducials. The square divot has been verified for use with various system probes (including ROSA™).

Key features:

  • Powered EZ-Driver™ for smooth, consistent bone fiducial insertion
  • Back-up manual screwdriver option provided
  • Single-use, sterile format for infection risk reduction
  • Ergonomic, lightweight handpiece for steady control
  • Compatible with leading neurosurgical navigation systems

Potentially Compatible imaging platforms:

  • Brainlab™
  • Medtronic StealthStation™
  • ROSA™
  • Others

Each component is designed to streamline workflow, improve reproducibility, and reduce surgeon workload, critical advantages in modern, high-precision neurosurgery.

Clinical Advantages

The Phasor EZ-Fiducials™ Kit enhances accuracy, reliability, and workflow speed for image-guided cranial procedures. Its powered, single-use design aligns with the growing demand for sterile, consistent solutions in advanced neurosurgical planning, particularly important as some companies have obsoleted similar products or users have found similar products to be clunky or difficult to utilize.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Precise, reproducible fiducial placement every time
  • Reduces risk of placing too deep using direct visualization
  • Single-use sterility prevents cross-contamination
  • Higher profile to allow finding (e.g. for re-registration) during draped procedures
  • Simplifies pre-operative setup and registration
  • Reduces surgeon fatigue through powered assistance

Surgeons gain a predictable, powered alternative to manual insertion, improving the navigation experience.
