LATERAL MASS SCREWS
A key initial application of Phasor promoted by many surgeons has been drilling the pilot holes for lateral mass screws -- considering that a power drill may be safer in maintaining the needed trajectory to avoid the vertebral artery and exiting nerve root, vs. hand-drills. Phasor's 2.40-mm short Drill may be ideally suited for such an application, since it is compatible with existing drill guides of other spine systems.
PEDICLE ACCESS FOR SCREWS & OTHER PROCEDURES
Phasor's lightweight but powerful ability to traverse a pedicle for purpose of placing guide wires for screws via a cannula (e.g. placed with a Jamshidi needle), or simply traversing a pedicle to reach a bony vertebral body lesion for biopsy, or to develop a tract for cement or other item placement at discretion of the surgeon via a cannula, are all potential applications.
